Speaking science to power
with Arctic Basecamp
In the run up to the 2022 World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, we worked with Arctic Basecamp, a non-profit of Arctic scientists, to tell world political and business leaders that what happens in the Arctic doesn't stay in the Arctic.

We're proud to have ran the communication effort for Arctic Basecamp before and during the event, staying in an actual Arctic basecamp that the organization set up in front of the Schatzalp Hotel in Davos.

Open Ocean, our new
feature documentary
Open Ocean (2021), directed by Nathan Siegel, is a feature documentary that follows Spanish firefighter, Didac Costa, and his ragtag team of mostly volunteers as they put everything on the line to tackle arguably the most extreme sporting event on the planet – the Vendée Globe, a solo, non-stop and unassisted sailing race around the world.
Costa battles mounting personal debt, an ill-timed lightning strike, a collision with a whale and finally, the Southern Ocean, home to the most inhospitable seas on Earth. A gripping portrait of an introvert obsessed with a dream that could very well kill him. Or elevate him to sporting immortality.

The film premiered at Cine Phenomena in Barcelona, Spain and had its international premiere at the International Ocean Film Festival in San Francisco, USA. It is now available to watch online (follow the link below).

The seaweed revolution with Seaweed First
As a pioneer in the seaweed industry, Seaweed First is a French non-profit that uses data-driven insights to shift the world towards a sustainable seaweed economy.
We ran communications for their 24-hour seaweed online event, Seaweed Around the Clock, which brought together over 50 speakers from 48 countries.

Profiling ocean changemakers
in new short doc series (coming soon)
In a new short documentary series, we will profile the scientists, athletes and activists that are working tirelessly to bring people closer to our oceans. Hosted on Youtube, the first season will focus on our most depleted sea, the Mediterranean, with new episodes coming out monthly.
The series will be shot from our sailboat as we travel around the Mediterranean to film our protagonists with the lowest possible carbon footprint.

Communicating Didac Costa's 2020/21 Vendée Globe
In February 2021, Didac Costa finished his second Vendée Globe - the round the world solo sailing race without stops or assistance.
ONA handled all the communication aspects of this extraordinary two-year-long project, including sponsor relations, press coverage, social media and production of a feature-length documentary about Didac's adventure.

Educating kids on climate change with IMEDEA
The Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA) commissioned us to produce a package of educational content to teach school children about the effects climate change has on our oceans.
Our goal was to translate the latest scientific findings into fun yet memorable presentations. We delivered audiovisual materials and interactive exercises as well as an accompanying teacher manual, which is already being used in several Spanish primary schools.

Turning plastic into clothes
with Sloppy Tunas
We helped this ocean friendly fashion brand grow its reach by developing a holistic communication strategy, including social media, press relations and live events.
We focused on developing a sustainable approach to marketing - from finding organic ways to generate traffic to recycling content.

Promoting sustainable nautical
tourism in La Rapita
We filmed, edited and produced a series of promotional videos to encourage visitors to explore the region of Ebro Delta by sailboat. The videos were created to compel potential visitors to support one of Spain's most important and lesser-know ecological areas through nautical tourism.
